Kolya likes
Kolya still likes superheros.
Kolya loves eggs, pasta, chicken and stews.
Kolya also loves to bake and help out with cooking in the kitchen.
Kolya loves to play football. I think he really loves to play any game with a ball. We ought to give him more options.
Kolya now also likes ipod toca boca games. We are quite new to this. (Thank you Katya!)
Kolya likes wolves.
Kolya loves his little brother. 'I love my little brother. He is so funny.'
Kolya likes to protect his brother when we drop off at school, lots of eager little people with un-careful hands wanting to hang out with little Alyosha. Kolya must protect!
Kolya loves Halloween. Im going as scary Halloween with a cowboy hat. Lets see what that will look like.
Kolya dislikes
Kolya dislikes courgettes. I do sometimes hide them in pasta sauces. He doesn't notice thus far.
Kolya also dislikes figs, (even baked). He doesn't like salmon, but likes 'white fish, mama', but really would rather eat pasta. Or meat. Or eggs.
Alyosha likes
Alyosha LOVES crows. He goes into a gibberish overdrive whenever he spots one. In fact he will settle for any bird, as long as its moving. Not too far out of sight.
Alyosha loves to talk.
Alyosha loves to pretend talk on the phone.
Alyosha loves to play with cars and airplanes. They go up and over walls, or sofas or chairs with a sound.
Alyosha also now LOVES putting on shoes, boots, UGGS, slippers etc, regardless of who they belong to or consequently their size.
Alyosha likes to take his food seriously. Never misses a chance to eat. He has a good nose, so if youre eating, chances are, he will find you and he will demand to be fed.
Alyosha loves eating muffins. Starts to slightly shake from excitement whenever me and Kolya manage to bake a bunch.
Alyosha LOVES reading books. Or more specifically, he loves baby animal books. He received a whole series from our dear friends Dima and Cici, and I must say, this has been the best present ever. He can do this for at least an hour a day. I go through every animal (I know), accompanied by the sound that animal makes (if again I know), and then we do it all over again about 10 times. Then we start on a new book. Fun times. Its all about repetition, kids.
Alyosha likes to sip water through straws. This is the only way he consumes liquids these days.
Recently, Alyosha has started to become interested only in the things that his older brother is doing. So, if Kolya grabs a toy, a shrieking eagle sound follows from Alyosha who instantly wants that very same toy, right that minute.
Alyosha likes to say MA-MA. He says it very clearly. Also, likes to say ДА.
Alyosha likes talking to his grandma on skype. Gets very excited when he hears the connection sounds, anticipates seeing her face. (He tells me so, in gibberish)
Alyosha likes croissants.
Alyosha likes sucking on his toothbrush, more than using it to brush his teeth.
Alyosha likes to stick everything in his mouth, like a dog with a ball, and as soon as you approach him, he spits the contents out.
Alyosha likes to play football.
Alyosha loves to eat grapes! Loves figs, and really loves clementines. Alyosha does love to eat. Almost everything.
Alyosha likes to play with umbrellas.
Alyosha also really loves to play hide and seek under a napkin or tea towel. He came up with this game by himself. Throws it on, shakes his head in excitement (where's Alyosha?) Rips it off- very happy with himself.
Alyosha dislikes
Alyosha dislikes being carried somewhere against his will. (As most one year olds do)
Alyosha dislikes sitting in his pushchair, when he can perfectly walk on his own, in his own time.
