The most brilliant experience ever!
I have never encountered elephants do this in real life and its just amazing. Holding onto each others little tails... They looked so happy!
Whipsnade zoo totally rules.
So this is one of those special little places UK doesn't promote enough. Some 600 acres of land with happy animals roaming around. You basically need binoculars to check some of them out. Its a nice feeling. Its very close to Luton airport so even if you own no car, like us, you shall be at the whipsnade doorstep in some 45-50 minutes. Sweet.
They have everything from face painting to party hire and an adventure playground with a real miniature puffer train that takes you round to see yaks and other animals too. Its amazing! Oh and if you get a membership into London Zoo you can sport it in Whipsnade for a free entry. We had fun! Very recommended for kids and parents.
