1/ We've had a total of 3 dry nights in a row. ) midnight potty time seems to do the trick.
2/ Kolya has finally started to name colours. Blue is sometimes red, and yellow instead of orange, but that doesn't matter as we are COMMUNICATING!
The excitement of direct questions and statements is overwhelming.
3/ Kolya has added an extra verb to his ammunition of speech. He now often practices the word: need, instead of want. Whereas before a forceful: 'mama, I want this!' would deafen the ear, now a single more subtle new word has completely transformed the dynamic of our communication.
4/ Longest sentence: I need to drive the car with daddy.
5/ Yours and mine. Мой/Твой. Kolya has started to recognize the idea of someone else's posession.
This is together with a long standing. Не наше. (Not ours) This usually refers to all the things that Kolya would like to touch and take home which don't belong to us. Lately he started to point out himself what those things are. Не наша машина. Не наш мотоцикл. (Not our car/motorcycle)
6/ Really enjoys washing the dishes. (Коля помыть)
7/ Let's go. Come on. Oh no.
8/ Really likes: trains, airplanes, helicopters. We spent a good hour a few days back looking at old diesel USSR trains, German helicopters and Russian Jets.
9/ Recognizes churches: Ding Dong or Цирков
10/ Funny story. Kenwood House Grounds. Man sings a song with guitar. Kolya with surprise: Mama, whats that noise? - That's music, baby.
11/ Kolya loves! running. Мама сам, бежить. He can run for a long time. Very fast and very far. Has no fear of being lost.
12/ Kolya is super strong. He can hang on a bar for about 1.5 minutes.
13/ Likes swinging on a тарзанка. Again, no help from mama.
14/ Puzzle making. We are making progress. Level 2 of Nikitin Puzzles.
15/ We rode the bike for the first time together. Wild and scary! Need to check out local woodwalks for future adventures. Riding on the streets is too scary and uncomfortable.
16/ Kolya pees standing up all by himself. 'Mama go away. Сам.'
